How Figure My Build works

1

Measure your job

Enter the real dimensions of a slab, a room, a wall. Feet or metres, inches or centimetres.

2

Get the buy-list

Whole bags, boxes and gallons, with waste allowance and an estimated cost, using manufacturer yield figures.

3

Print it, buy once

Take the list to the store and buy the job in one trip. No mid-project run for two more bags.

Buying guides

Frequently asked questions

What makes these calculators different?
Most calculators give you a raw volume or area and leave the shopping to you. Ours finish the job: whole bags, boxes, sheets and gallons to buy, a waste allowance, an estimated cost, and a list you can print and take to the store.
Where do your coverage and yield figures come from?
From the manufacturers. Concrete bag yields are Quikrete's and Sakrete's published numbers, paint coverage follows Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore guidance, and brick counts use the standard manufacturer units-per-square-foot table. Every formula is checked against its source before a calculator goes live.
Are the results guaranteed accurate?
They're careful planning estimates, not guarantees. Real jobs vary with site conditions and product choice, which is why every calculator includes a waste allowance and an estimate disclaimer. For structural work, always follow local building code.
Do the calculators work in metric?
Yes. Measurement fields accept feet or metres, and thickness, tile and hole-size fields accept inches or centimetres (millimetres on the fine-measurement tools). Results come out in the pack sizes and units suppliers actually sell: bags, boxes, cubic yards, gallons and tons.
